Baby #3

We're expecting baby #3!!! I'm just about 15 weeks along and due Feb 6th. It will be a crazy time of the year. Ellie's birthday is on Jan 20th, mine is on Feb 2nd, and we have numerous other family members with birthdays that time of year. Why does that always happen? We're so excited though!! I have no idea if it's a boy or a girl. I've been fairly sick like I was with with Ellie but it hasn't been totally the same either. I've had a lot of people tell me I should wait to find out since we have one of each already, but I just don't think I can be patient enough! I'm too much of a planner I guess. Jake's so excited and I think Ellie will be too. She LOVES babies!

Life is good. We've had a lot going on this last month.

Ellie had her 18th month check up and is in the 97% for height. She's huge. Jake was the same way but seemed to eventually even out. Ellie is crazy! She is constantly getting into things she shouldn't have. I feel like all I do is tell her no. It's frustrating. For some reason the only things she likes to play with are either dangerous or make huge messes. Jake was a perfect child so I have no idea what to do. I try to keep things out of her reach that I don't want her to get into but she still is able to come up with something. Taking her outside definitely helps. She absolutely loves the water. This girl is fearless. She has no problem jumping off from the side of the pool or from the steps. She even kicks and wiggles a bit to try to get to me. I think she is going to be an early swimmer. She loves it.

Jake is starting school in a couple of weeks! I can NOT believe it! We went to the store and let him pick out all his school supplies. It was fun and it really seemed to fuel his excitement. I know I'm only sending him off to Kindergarten but I've been thinking about how important it is to teach our kids the principles of the gospel and how to live it. It's scary for me to think about all that he'll have to face as he gets older and all I want is for him to be safe and make good choices. Sometimes I wish I could protect him from all the hard things in life forever, but I know that's not possible.

Jeremy and I celebrated our 8th anniversary! It was the perfect anniversary. We haven't been very good about getting out together without the kids lately, so Jeremy planned a little getaway that was just what we needed. We saw a movie, ate yummy food, and just spent the weekend together. It was great. I'm so thankful for such a supportive and loving husband. He does so much for me and for our family. Love you babe!

Amid all the other excitement my sister and brother in law went through the temple, we had a new little nephew born, Oliver James, and my brother Jeff left on his mission to San Jose, Costa Rica. It was awesome! I feel like our family has been greatly blessed. As my brother and sister went through the temple all I could think about was how we all have the necessary ordinances to be together as a family forever, and after loosing my dad in February, that has become even more meaningful to me. I love each member of my family so much and I'm so glad we have had so many wonderful things to celebrate this month.

Congratulations! My youngest gets into everything too, no matter what I do. I just have to supervise more. So glad you have had some fun things happening!

Congrats on the new baby how exciting. Maybe it's a girl thing but Avalon gets into everything she shouldn't as well. Two hospital trips in two months is too much.

I think you should wait and let it me a suprise, but that's just me.

Congratulations! I don't think I could wait to find out what I'm having either. You make such adorable kids so it doesn't matter! I love that you're whole family has been through the temple now, how special. Oh and I'm having a hard time thinking about Aubrey starting school!

I can't believe Jake is going to school already. It's crazy. I feel the same way about Addy and Kellsie and they are not even close to school yet. I know Jake will make good choices because you have taught him well and he is a wonderful boy!!! Love you!!
