Grooooss!!

Being a mom, I've seen my share of gross stuff. Everything from eating a mystery item off the nasty floor of a public place, to the time I found Jake in his bedroom driving his cars through his poop after getting out of the bath. But I think Ellie set a new record the other day. We were out playing at the park enjoying the sunshine. Ellie was having a great time playing in the grass when it was pointed out to me that Ellie had something in her hands. As I came closer to Ellie, I caught a whiff of what she was playing with. I tried to hold back my disgust as I realized that it was freshly left dog crap that my little girl was using as a lotion! It was in between each and every little finger and on her sleeves and pants. I was just thankful that she had a binky in, otherwise I'm sure it would have ended up in her mouth! Fortunately, there were other knowing mom's there who shared their baby wipes and hand sanitizer until we arrived at home where she promptly took a very thorough and LONG bath.



On a funner note, Ellie had her 9 month check up yesterday. She weighs 19 lbs 10 oz (75%) and 28 in long (75%). She hardly cried when she got her shots. I'm so happy she's a healthy and strong little girl.

Jake had a Halloween party with some friends last week. He decorated cupcakes, played pin the tail on the cat, colored pictures, and dressed up as a pirate. It was awesome.
