I love this time of year! Even the chilly weather makes me excited. My home feels so warm and cozy, and the leaves are so beautiful right now! With how short fall always seems to be in this state, we've tried to spend a lot of time in the mountains while it lasts.
Jake is such a goof-ball. It's so hard to get him to take a regular picture.
We went on a little hike up Dry Creek Canyon. It was perfect.
Ellie liked the snacks.
We went to the zoo, and I have to say that the baby elephant was probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen. It was playing and running around just like a little kid. It was adorable!
Jake had his last soccer game. It was a fun season and I think Jake improved a lot. He still wasn't the "star" player, but he had fun.
He loves his buddy, Blake.
Ellie has started crawling and we're just waiting for the mischief to begin. She's already pulled on several loose cords.
She's not too crazy about baby food. Most of it usually ends up on her face or shirt. She really wants to eat big people food, but still doesn't have any teeth.
Ellie is not a great sleeper. Her naps, when she takes them, are usually 30 minutes. One day after her nap she woke up like this...
She must have fallen asleep on her hands. No wonder she doesn't sleep very long. That can't be very comfortable! We sure love her though. Now that she's crawling she's constantly trying to keep up with Jake. She wants to be part of everything that he does. Jake is great too. He's so patient with her and lets her play with the toys that he's playing with. They're such great kids.
I had surgery on my hand last week. Just a little procedure to have a cyst taken out, but they did put me under. It was my first experience with anesthesia, and I actually kind of liked it. I felt so rested when I woke up! It was awesome! It has been a little difficult doing day to day stuff one handed, but I've had lots of help from Jeremy and the rest of my family.
Other than that, life is just plugging along. We're planning a trip to Disneyland next month and I'm so excited! We're just trying to decide exactly what we want to do. I know there are some die hard Disney fans out there, so any of you who would like to share your expertize, please do.

We are planning a Disney trip next year--so let me know if you find out some important planning info! Love the pictures! Can't believe your daughter is so big already! We went to the zoo recently, too and I love that baby elephant! Bailey had to beg me to see other animals bc I just wanted to watch her! ha ha.
Your kids are so cute! That picrture of Ellie eating the apple, I swear it's really Jake... Your pictures turned out cute.
I am a bad abd friend and didn't realize your surgery was last week I am so sorry! I don't know how you are feeling now I will have to call but can I take the kids?
Fun that Ellie is crawling now her and Addie need to get together and cause some trouble.
What a cute little family you have! The fall colors are so much fun.
Oh my gosh! How adorable! I can't believe how big Ellie and Jake are getting.

If you and jeremy want to ride a big person ride, ask a cast member for a baby swap. it lets part of the group ride while the other part waits. Once the first group gets off the ride, the second group goes, but they get to go thru the fast pass line. unless you really are into seeing mickey and friends, avoid toontown. i think it's a waste. if you're going to eat in the park and order a soda, ask for the soda with no ice and then a cup of ice on the side. you get more for your money this way.
