Last Sunday evening we decided to take a short drive to see the Mesa Temple. We had a good time getting out of the house and walking around a bit.
The sun was setting just as we were there and it lit up the temple beautifully!
I kind of laughed at this picture because it looks like Jake is trying to flash some sort of gang sign, when he was actually trying to point out that he was holding the Book of Mormon.

I'm grateful to have temples throughout the world. On our drive down to Arizona we made a stop in Las Vegas and Jeremy was joking around about getting married in one of the chapels in Vegas. When Jake heard Jeremy he said, "No, Daddy. We get married in the Temple." I was really proud of him. He understands so much, even though he's still so little. It made me laugh.

I LOVE the Mesa temple. It is so gorgeous. I remember the first time I went there I felt like it was in a movie from Aztec times or something. It's gorgeous!
I thought Jake was in a gang because of the skulls on his shirt! j/k He is such a cutie... that's a beautiful temple.

I know it is so stinkin' hot down there, but seeing the palm trees and the Mesa temple makes me miss AZ.
That was so cute what Jake said about getting married. I think we underestimate so much of what our kids understand.

I was just there! I would have emailed you but I spent all my time with my grandma. It is a nice temple. I lived about 4 hours away growing up and we used to go there to do baptisms

A funny little story... Before you left on a Sunday, we were talking to the kids about nursery. We asked them who they played with and Blake said "Jake". Alli chimed in that she played with Jake too. Then she quickly added "he's cute". We said, "You think Jake is cute?" Yeah, he's cute. And then a few hours later, she brought it up again on her own and said. Jake's cute. We laughed so hard! Her first little crush! i admit, he's a cutie. Good choice Alli!
