Back in Utah we never seem to have problems finding appropriate things to do on Sunday. We have lots of family and friends to visit, callings to fulfill, and things to do at home as a family. Today we have been struggling to find things to do. There are a few things locally that we could do, but it has been so hot and we haven't wanted to step outside more than we have to. What do you do as a family on Sunday? We need help!!

I hate to say this, but we struggle with Sundays too, and we do live in Utah! Since you have a little guy it is a fun challenge as well. Aileena loves to make things. We bake goodies for the elderly neighbors on either side of us. We make cards to send to out of state relatives. Aileena loves to get on the blog with me and email my friends. It's a tough one for sure. We have one on one time with the kids, where we keep an interview journal. it can be really fun(ny) with kids Jakes age. You ask them questions about how life is going, and goals they have. It gives us a chance to develop the relationship that we will need with them when they are teenagers. It also gives us a chance to testify of the gospel and Heavenly Father's love for us. Sometimes this moment alone sets the tone for the whole day. It is our favorite part of Sundays.
Well move back by the Stephens Family and you really won't have this problem... Or take pictures and put them on your blog :-)... When is your Doc appt??
Sundays are so hectic and busy these days for us, I rarely have one that I even get to think about what to do, other than get through it. (so sad!) Don't get me wrong, I love my Sundays, just um, tiring. :)
I try to write in my journal on Sundays. We used to always take Sunday drives when I was home. I also think taking walks are good activities. How about making goodies and bringing them to neighbors. And when hubby is working hard ALL week, (sales are so hard) how about just lounging at home, watching movies, and hunkering down until Monday starts. I know none of these are new ideas.
I was just asking Ryan the same thing this past sunday. the things I usually did in Utah revolved around family--esp after having kids. Journal, letter writing etc dont happen with kids running around--no matter WHAT day it is. we go on a walk almost every Sunday and call a lot of people we never get a chance to during the week. How are you doing? Good post!
