Disneyland was awesome! We loved it. The kids loved it. Everyone had a great time.
Our first couple of days there were perfect. Not crowded at all. Our first day there we started by having a character breakfast. We LOVEd it! It was definitely pricy but worth it. They had all kinds of breakfast foods including Mickey Mouse pancakes, as well as other kid friendly items like pizza, hot dogs, and mac and cheese. I have no idea why kids would want to eat that kind of stuff for breakfast, but they liked it. The characters would stop by our table to take pictures and spend time with us. I think Jake liked Pluto the best and Ellie had fun with Baloo. They also had the kids get up and dance and bake a cake with Goofy every 15 minutes or so. That place must make so much money. You pay a ton to get in, and then they keep you so busy you barely eat anything! After breakfast we went spent the rest of the day at California Adventure. Jeremy and I had never been. It was fun. Jake loves the pixar characters, so he enjoyed it too. His favorite attraction was definitely Playhouse Disney. I thought Ellie might have a hard time but she did great the entire trip too. She wasn't nervous around the characters and I think she liked all the stuff to look at. She was cutting her first couple of teeth and that didn't seem to bother much either. There were also quite a few rides that she could go on. Jeremy and I got to ride some rides too. When we first planned our trip I was hesitant to go alone because Jeremy and I wouldn't be able to ride very many rides, but it actually wasn't bad at all. Because we were single riders most of the time, we could just walk right on to most rides. Jake was big enough to go on pretty much everything too.
Our second and third days we spent at Disneyland. They had everything decked out for Christmas. It was kind of weird having Christmas decorations in 70 degree weather, but it was a lot of fun. The castle had snow on it and lights that made it look all icy. It was really cool. They even made it snow! It was awesome! Jake loved Peter Pan and he really loved the roller coasters. We took him on the roller coaster in Toon Town and after that he wanted to try them all. He loved the Matterhorn. It was so fun seeing his excitement as he experienced all the rides and characters that he loves so much. I'm glad that we spent three days there too. We didn't feel rushed or stressed and we were able to take it easy, which I think helped the kids a lot. It was a great trip. I hope we get to go again soon.
