Memorial Weekend

I can not remember my camera these days!! It's been very frustrating! We had a great weekend. Saturday I went shopping with some friends and found some great bargains, which is always fun. After church on Sunday we had a barbecue at a park with all of Jeremy's coworkers. There was a huge field for ultimate Frisbee and Jake had fun running around and playing on the playground. Jeremy was working all day on Monday, but Jake and I did some fun stuff on our own. In the morning we went on a little walk around our neighborhood. I love all of the trees here! Jake had fun playing in the big willow trees. He thought it was pretty cool that he could reach the branches.

There is an awesome pond close to our apartment where we fed the ducks and swans and all kinds of random birds. There are so many birds here! Every morning either the birds or the huge jets that fly over our house wake me up. I actually kind of like it. We live really close to a military base so there are jets flying right over us all day long. It makes me feel really patriotic. Is that weird? I just think that they're really cool.

After our walk we got ice cream, which ended up all over Jakes face and clothes, and then later that afternoon we went swimming. I forgot to bring my camera to take pictures while we were swimming, but you can kind of see our pool behind the pond. It was a blast!

It sounds like you guy's are having fun. I use to like waking up to the bird for the first little while that I lived in colorado now I really wish they would just leave. Especially in the spring it seems like they never stop honking.
