Faith

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I last posted.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy. Jeremy lost his job a couple of weeks ago. I was really upset at first. It finally felt like we were getting on top of things... I was able to quit my job, we were putting money in savings, and then this happens! I was so frustrated and worried.

As we've gone through this experience, I'm starting to realize that it has been a blessing in disguise. We have learned some valuable lessons that our family really needed. It is so easy to become complacent and comfortable and forget about the things that are truly important and that truly make you happy. The Lord doesn't do things the way that we always expect or the way we want them, but He always has our best interest in mind and He knows what we need.

Our family has become stronger and closer and I know that if we have faith we will be provided for.

Pictures from the past couple of weeks...

Jake all cozy reading a book in his chair.

Jake has been organizing his toys in rows. It's pretty funny!

We celebrated Jeremy's birthday on the 11th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Enjoying one of Jeremy's birthday presents, Guitar Hero III. I know you all want to come over and play!

For family home evening we made gingerbread houses with the Stephens. We weren't able to get a final picture because our battery died.

The kids enjoyed the candy!

Hey guys. I am so sorry to hear about Jeremys job. That is no fun. We can totally relate. We went through that last year and we had about 2 or 3 months that were really hard as he was trying to find a good job. Even though we hate having to go through those experiences, in the end they are the experiencex that make us stronger people. Jeremy, Happy birthday. That is cool you got Guitar Hero III. We are probably getting that for Christmas. It is the only video game I like so far. So how old are you now? 31? I hope you guys are doing well.

Erin I am so sorry about the job thing. I know that God has a plan for you though and everything will work out eventually. Hopefully that will be soon for you all. I will keep you all in my prayers. By the way, did you make that cake? It looks really cool!

Amen, Erin! The Lord has the right plan for us, even if we think our plan is better sometimes. Paul and I still wonder why we live in Kentucky, so far away from EVERYTHING we know and love. Good luck with everything!
