Pretty sure it's a girl...

So, we're expecting our second baby!! We are all very excited and looking forward to a new addition to our family. I must admit that I'm getting pretty tired of being sick and nauseous all day every day! I don't remember it being like this with Jake, which makes me think that we're having a girl. Jake thinks that it's a girl too. It's probably a good thing that I don't feel well because it means that everything is good with the baby but I feel bad for poor Jake and Jeremy. Jake has eaten the same thing for the past month and Jeremy has to pretty much fend for himself. Jeremy has been really sweet. He gets up early with Jake so that I can sleep in even though he's been working long hours. I feel like I've totally slacked on all my motherly duties. I know many of you have done this several times before. Any suggestions on what helps?

We rented a "family" bike to stroll the boardwalk at the beach. Jeremy and I actually did the same thing when we were here on our honeymoon and it was a lot of fun to do it again with Jake. He loved sitting up front, even though he doesn't look too excited in this picture. :)

Jake and Wall-E

We went to the movies the other day and saw Kung Fu Panda. It was a fun movie and we liked it a lot, but I think the highlight for Jake was seeing this giant Wall-E. Jake has been excited for this movie to come out all summer!

Happy Father's Day!

With the recent Father's Day I thought this was a good tag...

1. What is his name? Jeremiah Daniel McLerran
2. Who eats more? I'm in the same boat as Sally in this category. Jeremy can eat more in one sitting but I probably eat more throughout the day.
3. Who said I love you first? I think it was Jeremy. I'm not entirely sure. We both felt it really quickly though.
4. Who is taller? Jeremy
5. Who is smarter? I'm more book smart. He's more street smart.
6. Who is more sensitive? I would say Jeremy is but he would probably say that I am.
7.Who does the laundry? I usually do but Jeremy is happy to do it too.
9. Who pays the bills? I do. Jeremy and I used to do it together but we just ended up fighting about it all the time!
10. Who cooks more? I do most of the cooking but Jeremy is good to help out when I need it. Lately we haven't been doing much cooking at all!
11. What meals do you cook together? Breakfast. I'm a little slow getting going in the morning so he usually gets things started.
12. Who is more stubborn? Unfortunately, we both are really stubborn!
13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? Jeremy is and he probably admits it more than he should have to. Half the time I think he does it just so we can get over an argument since we both struggle with the above question! I guess that would make me more stubborn. :)
14. Who has more siblings? I do. I have 4 siblings and he has 3.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I think we're pretty equal. We rely on each others strengths.
16. What do you like to do together? Camp, hike, travel, spend time with family and friends, watch movies or favorite tv shows, watch Jake play and grow.
17. Who eats more sweets? That's a tough one. I think we both eat way more than our share.
18. Guilty pleasures? Cherry garcia, anything chocolate for me, and anything full of sugar for Jeremy.
19. How did you meet? He had seen me working at RC Willey for a long time and had finally got the courage to ask me out and I told him no! After he left I felt really bad and kind of wished that he would come back, and luckily he was back the very next day to ask me out again! After that we were pretty much together all the time!
20. Who asked who out first? Jeremy, twice.
21. Who kissed who first? I think he kissed me and he thinks that I kissed him.
22. Who proposed? Jeremy. It was very creative and very cute. We have the whole thing on video.
23. His best features? His eyes. It was the first thing I noticed about him.
24. What is his greatest quality? He's strong in all the ways that I'm weak. He's fun and outgoing. He's great at communicating. He has a big heart and always wants to help others that stand in need. He stands up for what he believes in and is not intimidated by anyone. I think he is such a great compliment to me. He's always willing to support me and help me in anyway possible. He's a wonderful father and husband! I love him!
25. Tag? Anyone who has not done this tag yet!

Aquarium

Jake and I went to the aquarium the other day with some friends. The giant turtles and the sharks were the favorite.

Jake inside a fish tank filled with crabs...

You can't really tell, but we're sitting in front of a giant rattle snake. It was looking right at Jake like he was a tasty treat!

Family Visit

This past weekend we took a little drive to Jeremy's hometown. Sadly, we had a casualty on the way up. Our camera got dropped! I was sooooo mad! It still takes pictures but the screen is totally busted and I can't see what I'm taking pictures of. I guess it's kind of like having a camera with film again. I hate it!!! How did we ever take any decent pictures without digital?!. Oh well!

We were able to visit Jeremy's uncle and grandma. It was a short little visit but good. I feel bad that we don't get to see them more often. Jeremy's grandma cries every time we have to leave to go back home. It's so sad to see how lonely she gets! She's a very sweet lady, although, I was a little worried to meet her the first time. I had heard stories about how she would tell Jeremy's friends that they were all going to go to you know where because they were LDS. When we finally met for the first time I was prepared and on my best behavior. We had a nice talk while Jeremy sat next to me with his hand on my knee. I later found out that Jeremy's grandma couldn't sleep that night because of the way we acted, and if we kept going down that path we would end up going to "the bed"! All because he had his hand on my knee! I about died! Now that story totally cracks me up! She's so funny and really very sweet. I'm glad we'll be able to visit with her this summer.

We also visited with Jeremy's best friend growing up. They have a little boy just about Jake's age and they had a blast together. I think we're going to plan some fun trips together this summer. Their family is a lot of fun.

Not many of the pictures from our trip turned out very well, but I did have some cute pics from the pool the other day...

Jake found a potato bug that he could not leave alone! He wanted it to turn into a ball and then back into a bug over and over again. Poor thing probably ended up with some sort of damage! I guess boys will be boys.
