Easter Celebrations

Well, we had all kinds of fun plans for our Easter weekend but Jake ended up getting sick. Saturday morning we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and he just wasn't quite into it like we thought he would be. He collected a few eggs and then he just wanted to hang out in his stroller.

Starting out...

We decided to take him home and try coloring some eggs. He watched us dipping the eggs in the color but he still wasn't too excited about the whole ordeal.





So sad!!!




Poor kid!! He got a fever and had a pretty bad sore throat. Later I found out that several kids in our neighborhood have hand/foot/mouth. Jake has had it before so I thought maybe he had a mild case of it. I felt so bad! Jake is such a great kid even when he's sick! He just wants to lay around and snuggle. I actually really love when he wants to cuddle like that but I wish he didn't have to feel so bad!

Bag update and hide and seek...

I'm sure some of you are probably thinking that I have already done this tag, but I was tagged again and I got a new purse so I thought I'd share!!!



I can actually fit everything into my bag now! It's awesome! I have chapstick and lipgloss (which I'm addicted to), sunglasses, gum, hand sanitizer, coupons that I never actually use, discount movie tickets that I never use either, and a bunch of Jake's stuff (diaper, wipes, toys, snacks, drink). I also got a new red wallet that is soooo much better than the one I had been using previously. I love it!

The other day Jake was playing on our bed. He loves to hide behind the pillows!

Green Eggs and Ham

I was actually trying to post a video of Jake reading Green Eggs and Ham, but it wasn't working so I had to do another video instead. This one is cute too. Jake planted some seeds at nursery and was pretty excited when they started growing...

Ward Ball

So, I have been playing basketball with my ward the last couple of weeks. We had a really good team (no thanks to me) and made it to the semi-finals. I had a lot of fun. I love to play basketball, but it has been years since I've played and I had forgotten how rough ward ball can be. I got some major bangs and bumps!

Jake and Savannah were playing in our pack-n-play and started squishing their faces against the wall. Their faces looked so funny!

New Car!!!

We got a new car last week! We have been looking around for a while and finally decided to get a Honda Pilot. So far we've loved it! We have so much room! I feel like we need to have two or three more kids to fill it up. We're getting rid of both of our other vehicles, so we will be down to one car. During the summer Jeremy can either walk or ride his bike to work on the days that I need to go somewhere, so I think it will work out pretty good.




The car has a DVD player which will be awesome for Jake on long trips! Jake was trying out the headphones and they were a bit too big. We stuffed them with packing bubbles and that seemed to work! It's quite the fashion statement too!

They may look like friends, but it feels like they fight about 80% of the time!!
